Quick Answer

FOREX.com and OANDA both publish US-facing forex services, but their account entities, platform choices and pricing schedules are not interchangeable. FOREX.com publishes Standard and RAW pricing, including a stated $7 commission per $100,000 traded for its US RAW account. OANDA publishes its own US pricing and platform information; this page does not claim a tested all-in cost winner. Check the current account entity and full schedule before comparing.

Regulation and the Account Entity

A brand comparison is incomplete until the legal company is known. FOREX.com’s US service is associated with GAIN Capital Group LLC; OANDA’s US service is distinct from its UK or European companies. Search the relevant regulator register using the full entity name and verify current permissions and status.

A regulator record for a related company is not evidence that every product, account or website is covered by that record. The BrokerSafari reviews distinguish named entities from group-level marketing statements and identify the scope of each cited source.

Fees, Spreads and Account Types

FOREX.com describes a Standard account with spread-based pricing and a RAW account with a narrower quoted spread plus commission. Its US RAW disclosures state a $7 commission per $100,000 traded. Confirm whether the current account schedule describes one side or a complete transaction and include the spread, financing, conversion and payment charges.

OANDA’s published prices should be checked for the same currency pair, trade size and holding period. We did not collect synchronized quotes, reproduce typical-spread samples or open accounts, so we cannot identify a least-cost provider. “From” spreads are minimums, not typical execution prices.

Platforms, Products and Funding

Both providers publish platform information, but integrations may differ by country and account type. Check whether the specific account supports the platform you want, whether the instrument is available on it and which company executes the order. Platform availability does not establish execution quality.

Funding methods and withdrawal processing can change. Read the provider’s current terms for your entity, including third-party payment charges, currency conversion, withdrawal limits and verification requirements. BrokerSafari did not deposit or withdraw funds for this comparison.

What We Verified—and What We Did Not

We reviewed official US provider pages and the existing BrokerSafari review records. The dated sources below support the statements about advertised accounts, platforms and pricing. We did not test spreads, order execution, slippage, platform uptime, account opening, customer support or withdrawals.

This comparison is not a universal “winner” list. US residents should check the US legal company and permitted product; readers elsewhere should use the local provider site and regulator register rather than carrying US terms across borders.
